Bigfoot Kick, the apparel brand for curious humans, has announced its expansion into retail as the shopping season heats up. The brand's bold and eclectic line of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and headwear will be available at Lokal, a brand new collective retail experience in Charlotte, North Carolina. The store brings together a diverse group of growing retailers at Camp North End.
The expansion marks the first offline move for the fast-growing company, which began as direct-to-consumer.
"We've been excited by the growth we've seen online but have always wanted to bring Bigfoot Kick to people in multiple channels. Nothing beats the experience of being able to touch and feel the softness and see the colors in person," CEO Daniel Bliley said.
Bigfoot Kick has grown its footprint throughout the United States and started participating at pop-up retail markets in North Carolina this fall.
"Seeing the reaction to our brand in person was powerful and led to looking at how we could add more opportunities for customers. We looked at several options for our first venture into retail but liked Lokal's story and what they were building. The diverse collective of creatives and entrepreneurs living their dreams and supporting each other has an infectious spirit. We wanted to be part of that," Bliley said.
Bigfoot Kick plans to expand into more retail opportunities in 2022.
